Hey, it's Danny.
I've got real news today, the kind I've been wanting to share with you for a while.
We did it. Claude, Actually is officially a nonprofit now, the AI Actually Foundation. The state of California approved the paperwork, and it's done, on the record, for good.
Here's the only reason we did it, and it's for you. We never want a reason to sell you anything. No course, no membership, no upsell, no catch, not ever. Going nonprofit takes that off the table for good. Everything we make here stays free. That used to be a promise. Now it's a promise with legal teeth.
If you're wondering why that matters, look at what we already give away. The Founder Kit is a complete, free curriculum that walks a total beginner from a blank page to a launched business, the kind of thing people charge hundreds of dollars for. We built the first version for our own kids, and the second I finished it, it was obvious that every kid, and every grown-up who ever thought "I'd start something if I knew how," should have it too. That's a story for another day. The short version: giving the good stuff away is the whole point, and we wanted to make sure it could never become anything else.
So here's what it means for you: nothing changes, except the promise gets stronger. No paywall is coming. There's no "premium tier" waiting in the wings. Just more free things, more often, for as long as we're doing this.
This is the company Claude and I always wanted to build. The generosity here isn't a slogan anymore. It's in the legal bones.
The first thing we're giving away, free for good.
If this means something to you, the best thing you can do is pass it on. Send it to the one person in your life who keeps saying "I wish I knew how to use this stuff." That's exactly who we built it for.
More soon. We're just getting started.
Danny
